At Tikal Language School our students acquire new sociolinguistic and intercultural skills through innovative, flexible classes focused on the needs of our students to achieve the development of knowledge and skills necessary to help them interact in a foreign culture and society. What defines Tikal Language School is teaching given by professional and certified teachers. Our methodology follows the teaching standards according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment).

¡Hola! I'm Izarel, a native Spanish teacher from Mexico with over 8 years of teaching experience, 3000 + teaching hours, and 500+ students from different backgrounds and professions.
I've taught Spanish at all levels, from beginner to advanced (A1–C2), through online and in-person lessons, private one-on-one sessions, and group classes.
My teaching approach is conversation-focused, practical, and personalized. I help students go beyond memorizing grammar rules and start using Spanish naturally in real-life situations.
Whether you're learning Spanish for work, family, travel, or personal interests, my goal is to help you communicate clearly, build confidence, and enjoy the learning process.
Throughout my career, I've worked with students from different professional backgrounds, adapting my lessons to their goals, learning styles, and everyday communication needs.
